Milled Swedish Silicon Steel, Low-Tension Band Saw Blades. These blades are made from a strip of steel, whose quality and dimension are controlled by the manufacturer. Quality, flexible steel dramatically increases the blade body life. The more flexible the steel, the lower the tension applied to the body of the blade. This use of low tension, high quality steel increases the overall life of your machine bearings, shafts and wheel surfaces. The horse power needed to run a low tension blade averages 30% less. The tooth gullet and pitch are milled to produce a 99% finished tooth configuration with a smooth, frictionless surface and superior sharpness. This type of milling produces a blade that will last 50% to 75% longer than any other method of manufacturing. Blades are heat-treated and straightened using state of the art full survice electro heat induction hardening, which dramatically increases overall blade body life. These blades are made in any length with a width from 1/8" thru 1-1/4". You may special order any blade not listed here. |
